瑞士前總統顧胥班訪華

外交部表示，瑞士聯邦前總統顧胥班（Pascal Couchepin）一行應中華民國政府邀請，今天至17日來華訪問。

外交部說，顧胥班曾二度擔任瑞士聯邦總統，致力促進瑞士發展，並積極推動瑞士參與國際議題，普獲人民肯定。

外交部指出，顧胥班曾於1990年代擔任聯邦國會議員期間應中華民國政府邀請訪華，對中華民國留下深刻良好印象。

外交部說，顧胥班肯定中華民國民主自由，為中華民國重要國際友人，此行將可增進對台灣政經建設近況及兩岸關係發展情形的瞭解。
