立法院副院長洪秀柱日前表態宣布參與2016總統大選國民黨黨內初選，洪秀柱今（7）日在立法院受訪時表示，黨內馬上就要領表，領表連署通過後就要登記。洪秀柱還替自己的臉書粉絲團廣告宣傳，歡迎大家到她的臉書按讚，並稱「相信堅持作對的事情，大家都會幫你的忙，我相信我們會改變，我的參選會改變」。

洪秀柱對於黨內初選表態表示，雖然目前國民黨「三成黨員投票、七成民調」的黨內初選辦法，她個人仍偏向以全民調進衝選，洪秀柱說，現行黨內制度有可能造成黨意與民意落差，但她也強調，不是因為哪一項方式對她有利，而是建立制度因從黨內開始，她尊重中常會決定，相信中常會有智慧解決問題。

洪秀柱認為，黨員或民眾都要學習民主風範，只要大家認為競爭沒問題，在人選尚未出線之前互相競爭，等到一定人選出現後，就應互相扶持，讓所支持的人突破難關，這就是民主典範。
