【大紀元費城訊】據美國勞工部3月17日公佈的統計數據顯示，新州今年1月份失業率為6.3％，與去年12月份修訂後的失業率持平，但比2013年同期下降了0.8個百分點。新州今年1月份共增加12, 400個工作崗位。該州失業率持穩主要得益於建築業、貿易、交通運輸及公用事業的就業增長。新州居民在今年1月份中有426萬人有工作，而這一數字在2008年經濟大衰退前最高點時相差不超過3萬人。
