德國總理梅克爾周一將責任加諸於希臘新政府，要其提出一套計劃，以放寬國際紓困條件。

「我認為重要的是，希臘在周三或幾天後的歐元集團會議中，放上檯面的是什麼，」梅克爾在與歐巴馬總統共同舉行的聯合記者會上說。

當被問到希臘總理齊普拉斯在周日的演說中表示，他將推動取消目前撙節計劃的行動時，梅克爾說：「我們會等待希臘提出一項能夠持續的方案，而後再論論這件事。」

她並說，目前的紓困協議，是我們一切討論的基礎。
